From Via Benefits by WTW. Welcome to Eye on 65, a podcast for employers and plan sponsors looking to elevate their retiree healthcare benefits. Today I get to talk to Sal Trentacoste, a retiree that I spoke with originally back in 2020. He's a former union laborer and definitely not known to sugarcoat anything. Welcome, Sal. I know that a lot has happened in the last few years. Can you share an update about yourself since that time?
Sal Trentacoste (00:35):
Uh, since the last time we spoke. Uh, I lost my leg, you know, uh, and unfortunately I had to have it done because it was, it was not doing well. And I am now walking around with a permanent prosthetic after only two and a half years, and I am also an amputee counselor for other amputees.
Nina Krammer (00:56):
Wow. That is quite a change in life Circumstances, mobility potentially can't.
Sal Trentacoste (01:04):
Yeah. Yeah. But you can't let any of this stuff get you, you gotta fight through it.
