At Via Benefits, we strive to offer our members a best-in-class experience when selecting a plan on our Medicare marketplace. This begins with thoroughly vetting our insurer partners whether for medical, dental, or any of the other insurance offerings we provide.

Via Benefits has developed a detailed methodology for vetting any potential insurer partner.  We perform an in-depth review prior to listing a carrier on our Medicare marketplace. Every year we enlist subject matter experts to bring their insights and market expertise to review carriers and the quality of their plans. Where possible, our review considers the opinions of outside rating agencies to supplement our internal team's research and opinions. We utilize a multi-step comprehensive carrier selection process that helps us deliver high-quality plans from highly reputable carriers.  

When reviewing carriers we look for: 

1. Stability  
   From the start, we make sure that the carrier’s product is competitive on our platform. We monitor each carrier’s financial strength and performance as a way of assessing future performance. A strong reputation, positive reviews and competitiveness of the carrier ensure that our members are in good hands.  

2. Established history  
   Our members are at the center of everything we do. That’s why we partner with carriers that have been in the market long enough to help mitigate risk to our members. In the rare chance that one of the Medicare carriers should fall through, we have stop-gap measures in place so our members are never without coverage. 

3. Meaningful choice and quality plans  
   We advocate for our members by staying up to date on market changes and anticipating the evolving needs of our retirees. We ensure continued product availability and access to quality-choice plans with the most competitive plans in any service area.
